Top Shot goes in public beta and lists on Samsung Store

The transition to a public beta coincides with the official listing of Top Shot on the Samsung Galaxy Store, one of the first mobile stores to openly endorse dApps.

Top Shot is currently only available on Samsung’s mobile store, and it offers blockchain-based collectibles based on popular athletes from the NBA.

Top Shot focuses on the collection of “moments” from the history of basketball.

Each moment has its own scarcity, which makes some assets more valuable to players than others.

Players can also complete specific sets to claim specific, rarer rewards.

The game itself is based on the Flow Blockchain developed exclusively for Dapper Labs solutions.

So far, the game has managed to attract some 17,000 closed beta users, who have made 43,000 packs of NFTs, hitting $2million in revenue.

The most expensive moment on record is the “Lebron James Cosmic Dunk” that cost $5,200.

This is just one aspect of the blockchain gaming experience, of course. Most developers are now focusing on state-of-the-art gaming platforms, such as FunFair Technologies’ CasinoFair.

CasinoFair is a leading gaming operator which has developed its own ecosystem involving a unique payment method, i.e. the FUN token and blockchain-based games that are exclusive to the platform.

Other great picks include Bitcasino.io and 1xBit Casino which are both respected gaming brands and blockchain pioneers.

More and more companies have been jumping on the blockchain bandwagon, creating unique games involving collectibles and NFTs.
