Wagerr report sees positives amid sports betting crisis

The blockchain sportsbook’s volume started low on Monday, April 13, but gradually increased through Sunday. Its biggest betting event turned out to be in Belarussian football, with Rukh Brest vs FC Minks seeing 172,487 WGR (Wager) turned over. Wagerr’s biggest burn was -63,887 WGR on another Belarussian football draw.

The platform’s weekly volume hit 3,778,617 WGR with 176 events held throughout the week, with total betting volume worth the equivalent of $84,720.

In terms of available betting markets, DOTA 2, drove the biggest market, followed by CS:GO. Both events had tournaments held recently, explaining the spike in interest.

DOTA 2 had 75 events in the week whereas the Belarussian League had just the nine matches. The last few weeks have also prompted Wagerr developers to keep adding new leagues, including traditional sports such as the Belarusian Cup, Vysshaya Liga, Extraleague, as well as a number of additional esports events.
