During the inaugural crypto esports event, players will have to opportunity to win cash prizes, trophies and special NFT collectables.

W3E has announced its grand prize pool to players at the first-ever crypto esports event held at Instanbul Blockchain Week.

Following the news of the event commencing on November 17, the company has stated that players involved will be competing for a grand prize of $15,000.

Alongside the cash price, a winner's trophy will be awarded as well as special edition non-fungible token (NFT) collectables which will be usable in the EV.io game; the events league partner and lead game in the tournament.

EV.io is designed to be open and accessible to all players; a free-to-play, play-to-earn, first-shooter game available on PC and Mac.

Built on the Solana blockchain, EV.io supports in-game currency which will be exchangeable for the SOL token.

Founder and CEO of W3E and Istanbul Blockchain Week Erhan Korhaliller said: “I am incredibly excited to be leading the team putting on the first-ever live Web3 esports tournament, alongside the first Web 3.0 games expo.

“Web3 gaming is the next leap forward in this revolutionary technology. Watching it mature over the past few years has been incredible”, he said.
