Twitch crypto streamer admits to gambling investor money

A Twitch streamer behind several projects has admitted to suffering from a severe gambling addiction, pushing him to gambling away investors’ money.

DNP3, a popular crypto streamer, has confessed to gambling away investors’ money from several of the projects he helped found.

The streamer, who was the mastermind of Goobers NFT, Gridcraft Network, and CluCoin, confessed on Tuesday using Twitter.

In a short and apologetic post, DNP3 spoke about his descent into gambling addiction. He said that it all started with a sponsored gambling stream which quickly grew into a full-blown addiction.

DNP3 caught himself chasing losses and burning through his life’s savings. When those were gone, he turned for additional funds to the only other place he knew – the investors’ funds that were committed by various people into his projects.

He named the brand that drove his addiction and said that he was deeply sorry about the irresponsible way he had used investor funds.

“I am now completely broken both financially and spiritually. My sense of trust in myself is compromised”, DNP3 shared with his followers.

It’s not known exactly how much of investors’ funds he lost. However, the projects he helped found have been following.

CluCoin, a charity-oriented project, has a market cap of $247,057 according to CoinMarketCap.

However, the website’s team has not verified the market cap. Overall, the fully diluted market cap collapsed by more than 80% at the time of reporting.

DNP3 is not the only streamer to have gambled away investors’ funds. A similar project went down when NFT launchpad Onepad’s founder ended up gambling investors’ funds in a similar manner, driven by addiction.
