Trading Update: 01 – 07 July

After last week's slump in momentum for our gambling altcoins, the majority of our tracked projects have bounced back well with double figure upticks at CasinoCoin, Wagerr, and BETR.

CasinoCoin and its CSC token have maintained consistent volumes over the last seven days, and in conjunction with strong community support, the project's market price has risen by over 10% to almost $24m. Significantly though, CSC is now our top ranked token amongst those we track on a weekly basis, having jumped from third place last week.

CasinoCoin's market cap knocked WINk's TRON-based WIN token off top spot, with the latter's 2.7% cap increase not enough to hold its position. With the two crypto casino projects very different, losing its crown wont be of much concern to WINk as results could have been far worse after a week of some controversy surrounding the firing and hiring of its old and new CEO. The TRON casino's PR team will be hoping this is all behind them for now, particularly with an exciting TRON 4.0 event imminent where its new CEO, Lucia Wong, is set to speak.

Wagerr has continued to show strength (+10.1%) as it comes out of a challenging COVID-19 period. Sports have gradually returned in recent weeks, and this has helped with the blockchain sportsbook's bottom line. Last week saw significant revenue taken on the Spanish La Liga, and with the English Premier League coming to an exciting climax in terms of relegation and European spots, this should continue.

Towards the other end of our rankings, BetterBetting's BETR token was the week's biggest riser after seeing a hike of almost 30%. Meanwhile, Edgeless and its EDG token have continued their own stability with a rise of 6.7% which puts them on the cusp of a $1m market cap.

BetProtocol also saw a 5.5% rise, and its BEPRO token is set for major things if everything goes in-line with the projects ambitions. It recently announced a new casino in HodlBet, and hinted at some major news to come around its esports offering.

It's clear that gambling altcoins are still heavily reliant on the performances of the likes of bitcoin and ether. The two cryptocurrency giants saw gains of 1% and 4% respectively in the seven day period, both seeing impressive spikes earlier in the week before tailing away in the last few days. It's therefore in crypto gambling projects' interests to follow their results closely, although we're starting to see some independent, news and development-based price movements in individual projects which is encouraging to see.
