The week opened optimistically as Bitcoin continued on an upward trajectory, prompting a celebratory $5,000 giveaway from Real.Casino

This week saw Bitcoin (BTC) smash its previous all-time high of $68,999 back in November 2021 to hit $69,202 on Tuesday.

The hype around BTC’s bullish run has meant other coins, such as Ethereum and meme coins such as Shiba Inu and Doge have all climbed. BTC’s performance coupled with the daily news updates on the US presential primaries also sent Maga’s Donald Trump themed meme coin TRUMP up by 700%, reaching a market cap of $500m.

Meanwhile, Taiwan looks set to be the next jurisdiction to greenlight Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The country’s Chamber of Commerce is set to unveil research into the ETFs next month, which is expected to have a positive outlook ahead of new digital asset regulations in September.

Chainalysis published its latest Crypto Crime Report this week, finding that the volume of funds stolen from crypto platforms fell by more than 50% in 2023, however the number of hacking incidents increased.

Elsewhere, a Chiliz airdrop of $CHZ tokens to NFT and defi users stoked excitement this week and we learnt that Meme Pillagers, a new player on the Solana blockchain, had launched a presale that raised more $800,000.

In the latter half of the week, Coachella festival teamed up with NFT marketplace OpenSea to launch a NFT festival experience called Coachella Keepsakes, cryptocurrency racing game CyberKart and casino officially launched on digital platforms, and igaming supplier iGP announced a move into the crypto space.’s figures for February revealed a storming month with 987,785,616 bets placed on online casino games and 4,188,794 individual sports bets.
