Binance's new NFT collection, Web3 gaming and Stake sponsorships. Here's the latest crypto and gambling news this week

So far, July has been kind to crypto holders. Thanks to Bitcoin’s surge in late June, the coin proceeded to range for a while and allowed altcoins to breathe. During the calmness, footballer Ronaldo and crypto exchange Binance announced a second exclusive NFT drop.

Titled ForeverCR7:TheGOAT, the collection made up of 29,327 NFTs will highlight Ronaldo’s highlights in football. The collection is made up of Normal cards, Rares, Super Rares, and Super Super Rares. Each card unlocks perks for the holder. Super Super Rare NFT holders can use their cards to get tickets to Binance Blockchain Week and even a one-to-one training session with Ronaldo himself.

Keeping on the topic of football, Chelsea football club has withdrawn from their potential shirt sponsorship deal after pressure from fans and the Supporters’ Trust.

Chelsea FC pulled from the negotiations due to criticism from supporters who opposed the club being sponsored by a gambling and betting website. currently has a partnership with Everton FC which has been ongoing for a few years.

On streaming platform Kick, despite gambling streams being one of the platform's most popular categories, the site recently announced new rules on such streams. According to recent data, the “Slots & Casino” category gained over 15 million hours of watch time throughout the month of June.

Kick has been criticized for its inclusion and promotion of gambling streams. From now on, Kick users will be able to filter out gambling streams if they’re not interested in them.

Rounding things up, Ethlas, a Web3 gaming platform has launched its native $ELS token. The new token will be used to fuel in-game markets and cross-chain interactions throughout the Ehtlas ecosystem. Staking $ELS tokens grants stakers access to exclusive Ethlas rewards, access to new games, and governance decisions.
