Chelsea FC pulled from the negotiations due to criticism from supporters who opposed the club being sponsored by a gambling and betting website. Stake.com currently has a partnership with Everton FC which has been ongoing for a few years.
On streaming platform Kick, despite gambling streams being one of the platform's most popular categories, the site recently announced new rules on such streams. According to recent data, the “Slots & Casino” category gained over 15 million hours of watch time throughout the month of June.
Kick has been criticized for its inclusion and promotion of gambling streams. From now on, Kick users will be able to filter out gambling streams if they’re not interested in them.
