The company debuted its new initiative to “remove logistical complexity”.

The payments firm Stripe has launched a project to accommodate fiat-to-crypto payments for companies worldwide.

The firm announced on Thursday that the new offering will provide a customized widget that can embed itself into a decentralized exchange (DEX), an NFT platform, a wallet or a decentralized app (dapp).

The widget is designed to allow customers the option of purchasing cryptocurrencies instantly in web 3.0 apps.

“We built our fiat-to-crypto onramp to remove [logistical] complexity”, Stripe wrote in a blog post.Stripe provides services for customizable on-ramping services, know-your-customer (KYC), fraud and compliance issues and payments.

Out of Stripe's initial 16 projects, eleven are built on Solana. One of the projects using the company’s new on-ramp is the decentralized music streaming platform, Audius.

By adopting Stripe's new initiative Audius’ users can use their credit cards to purchase its native AUDIO token to tip their favourite artists.

Stripe has worked on expanding its partnerships with crypto companies over the past year. The company offers support for crypto pay-outs to 67 countries allowing various companies to send USDC payments across the globe.
