Stake.com wins inaugural crypto title at EGR Operator Awards 2022

Although it missed the SBC 2022 award for crypto operator, Stake.com takes the crown in EGR’s event.

Stake.com has become the first winner of the newly-introduced crypto operator award at the EGR Operator Awards 2022.

The EGR Operator Awards 2022 are often referred to as ‘the Oscars of the egaming sector’ and for Stake to win in this newly-formed category is a notable achievement.

It is doubly great news for Stake.com as it didn’t win the crypto gaming operator of the year award at the SBC Barcelona Summit earlier this year.

Crypto gambling was recognized by SBC just recently, with crypto operators eligible for nominations only since last year.

Betsson also scored a great result in this year’s awards, winning not one but two major awards for 2022 – the in-play sports operator of the year award and the diversity and inclusion model of the year award.

Betsson outlined that innovation in the space of mobile platforms and cross-platform availability were some of the most important criteria for this award.

The diversity and inclusion model of the year award is also an important one, as the event focuses not only on performance or financials.

The list of focal points for the event range from “customer service to safer gambling with awards reflecting all verticals” as EGR puts it, so this was definitely a highlight for Betsson.

The company underlined that is has put its workforce at the center of its strategy, strengthening its diversity and inclusion, and promoting higher employee commitment, engagement and education.

Another fantastic win in one of the headline categories was that of Kaizen Gaming, who were crowned operator of the year on October 27.

This is largely considered one of the most prestigious honors given at the awards event, and Kaizen won in the sports betting operator segment.

Kaizen had also received three awards in the EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards 2020 event.
