Cryptocurrency gambling giant Stake.com has agreed a deal to become the official partner of the 2022 European Cricket Championships.
The 10-over tournament, which starts in Spain next month and features 21 national teams, will help the operator gain brand exposure and reach new customers.
More than 40 million people per day are expected to view the tournament around the world with Stake.com earning significant branding across television coverage.
Chief executive of the European Cricket League Roger Feiner said: “European Cricket is proud to partner with Stake.com, one of the most innovative and engaging companies within this sector, for the European Cricket Championships 2022.
“Like Stake.com we are innovators, and we believe there can be a lot of overlap between our companies when it comes to principles and best practices.
“We are particularly excited about our new evening matches for Stake.com that will be broadcast primetime into the cricket key markets.”
Stake.com is well versed on international sports sponsorships having already gained a front-of-shirt deal with Premier League side Everton, as well as agreeing a deal with the UFC.
Sponsorship manager of Stake.com Dominic Rae said: “We are excited for this partnership with the European Cricket Championship. We have been impressed with the tournament’s growth and cricket is a sport with an enormous and passionate fanbase.
“We are looking forward to seeing some top-class action across the 120 matches of the tournament.”
The event is hosted in Malaga, Spain with the final taking place on October 14.
