Stake and Yolo make EGR Power 50 list

The two crypto gambling operators have been recognised as key organizations in the online gaming market.

Online gambling trade publication EGR has announced Stake.com and Yolo as part of its annual Power 50 list.

Stake.com was established in Australia by Bijan Tehrani and Edward Craven. It makes its debut in EGR’s Power 50 list 2022 and is regarded as “the world’s largest crypto gambling site”.

Despite being amid a ‘crypto winter’, with Bitcoin plummeting in value and the collapse of Sam Bankman-Fried’s firm FTX causing a ripple effect across the board, Stake managed to take a spot on EGR’s respected list and was recognised as a company excelling in the global online gambling market.

Stake has faced some challenges in the industry but it has not deviated from the road to success.

Although the American video live-streaming service Twitch banned streams involving four crypto gambling operators, Stake being one, the company holds shirt sponsorship deals with two professional football clubs, Watford and Everton in the Premier League, which has raised its profile.

Yolo Gaming Group featured for the fifth time in the prestigious EGR list.

This is the company’s fifth consecutive year on the EGR Power 50 list. The firm honoured Yolo’s former CEO Tim Heath and applauded the woman who stepped into his shoes in 2020, Maarja Pärt, who is described as having “paid dividends” to the role.

On Pärt's efforts to champion the importance of keeping the group’s “values and culture”, she said: “It is the people that matter most – firstly, retaining our key talent and, secondly, recruiting the best people who live and breathe the same Yolo values”.

EGR mentioned Yolo as a “leading crypto-first operator in the industry with the likes of Bitcasino.io, Slots.io and Sportsbet.io“. The company was crowned brand of the year at the EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards in June.

Standing alongside gambling giant Flutter Entertainment, which has made its third appearance on the ERG Power 50 list, Yolo and Stake have secured their places as established key industry power players in the gaming industry.
