Sorare launches 3D augmented reality Premier League player cards

NFT cards will go on marketplace next week with other European leagues to follow

NFT fantasy game and marketplace Sorare has launched its 3D digital football player cards with integrated augmented reality capabilities for the English Premier League.

The 3D cards featuring Premier League stars will go live on the marketplace on September 13, with Europe’s other top leagues, Bundesliga, LaLiga, and Serie A, set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Sorare said:

“This new step in our card design evolution into 3D invites progression. With an added depth with the frame, via textures and shapes, we have the ingredients to evolve Sorare digital player cards and create new and exciting designs for years to come.”

Along with the launch, Sorare are hosting a 3D card virtual treasure hunt across three cities with the chance of winning an AC Milan VIP experience, giving the winner the opportunity to fly with the team to one of their European matches and attend the game in style.

World Cup winner and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi joined Sorare as a brand ambassador and investor back in November.

CEO and founder Nicolas Julia said at the time:

“We believe Messi will help us set new standards in how we do this, and we look forward to sharing what new content and fan experiences we’ve been collaborating on soon.”
