Snoop Dogg and Roobet in joint promotion

The marijuana-themed event is set to run for an entire month, with further information being announced in the coming days.

Roobet and rapper Snoop Dogg have announced a joint promotion – quite literally.

The legendary artist, who was recently appointed Roobet's chief ganjaroo officer, has instructed the company to celebrate April 20, or ‘four-twenty’ the day of marijuana enthusiasts, with a month-long giveaway of more than $420,000 in cash and prizes.

Roobet players can participate in the giveaway, dubbed ‘Make it Rain with Snoop Dogg’, by playing on the platform without any opt-in requirement.

The prizes include a $100,000 grand prize, more than 100 backstage passes, and meet and greet opportunities at Snoop Dogg shows.

Players can increase their chances of winning by playing the recently launched Snoop Dogg's HotBox, automatically receiving five extra entries into the prize draw.

Roobet's co-founder Matt Duea said of the promotion: “We’re humbled to have a brand, community, and a board that enjoys this sense of humor. Both Snoop and Roo like to think and do things differently, step way outside the marketing box, and lean into any opportunity to give back to our fans and players.”

The Snoop Dogg and Roobet partnership came after the rapper played with Roobet without disclosing his identity and was pleased with the service he received. When he eventually revealed himself, Roobet seized the opportunity to collaborate with him.

Roobet was initially designed for crypto enthusiasts but has seen more than three billion wagers placed as it moved into the mainstream.

The term ‘four-twenty’ is slang for marijuana and hashish consumption, especially smoking around the time 4:20pm.
