SG Veteris hires chief revenue officer

The senior role will help generate revenue and address gaps in the market after a 25% employee increase in 2022.

Cryptocurrency fintech SG Veteris has appointed Meryem Habibi as chief revenue officer.

The new role will see Habibi oversee the company's global revenue with the responsibility of monitoring its growth strategy, performance and alignment of revenue-generation operations.

Habibi will lead the growth of the business through marketing, sales, and strategic partnerships; identifying new markets in the industry and customer segments to target.

“I see real growth potential in the benefits we can bring to cross-border trade and helping businesses to conduct more efficient and cost-effective transactions”, said Habibi

With more than 15 years of experience in finance and technology, Habibi joins SG Veteris from a background in international payments/FX trading fintech and AA Finance where she led an expansion of operations across Middle East Africa.

Having also led marketing and communications at Samsung Electronics, Habibi previously served as the head of channel operations for EMEA and APAC regions at US-based ATM and software giant Diebold Nixdorf.

SG Veteris CEO Anil Oncu said: “SG Veteris is in a growth phase, and we are currently bucking the trend in the market by continuing to hire key roles to help with our global expansion plans in reputable jurisdictions over the course of 2023.

“We’re excited about launching in even more countries as we are seeing consumer behaviours shift and crypto payments becoming more popular and in demand. We are proud to continue to attract the best people in the industry to help us continue to scale.”
