Samsung embraces TRON dApps in Galaxy Store

The move envisages support for both smartphone and tablet users in Europe and the United States, and as of Monday, users can download and install dApps directly from the Galaxy Store.

At launch, players can access the likes of Blockchain Cuties, Super Player and other on-chain gaming offerings. Although there are no gambling dApps available at time of writing, with gambling being one of the main use cases for the TRON network, it is not incomprehensible that leading gambling sites such as WINk could follow in the near future.

Justin Sun, founder of TRON, said that the partnership with Samsung would take the company “to the next level” in pushing and integrating new solutions and building stronger ecosystems.

Back in October 2019, the companies already hinted at a deeper partnership between the two, after they released an SDK, or a software development kit, presaging the arrival of something big.

However, without much fanfare and extensive detail, Samsung has now extended Tron wallet support, embarking on the partnership. Sun confirmed that adding dApps based on Tron to the Galaxy Store would be one of the biggest opportunities the company had had to date.

Samsung shipped close to 300 million phones in 2019, outpacing Apple by sheer 100 million units.
