Recent Twitter hacks linked to another US teen

The FBI has checked the home of the teenager arguing that he may have played an equal, or even more important role in the hack dated back to July 15 which breached the accounts of multiple personalities.

The culprits started a 2-to-1 giveaway for bitcoin (BTC), asking from hacked accounts for followers to send some bitcoin to a crypto wallet address and get double the amount back.

The mastermind of the hack is supposed to be one 17-year-old Graham Ivan Clark, but a second person is now involved.

Clark had made a fatal flaw in using Discord chat to communicate his intentions, whereas the second individual made use of Signal and Wire channels to hide his identity better. However, once investigators got to Clark, it was only a matter of time for the second person to surface.

Other individuals involved in the scam involve 19-year-old Mason John Sheppard from the United Kingdom and 22-year-old Floridian Nima Fazeli. Clark pleaded guilty to all 17 counts of communications fraud and 11 counts of illegal use of personal information.

He is currently in jail and his bail is declared at $725,000. The mini-heist has managed to collect 12 BTC worth around $144,000 in total.
