Brenninkmeijer expressed his confidence that Sherrington would bring to the table a unique insight that would allow Quanta to push its global strategy forward and deliver further value to clients and shareholders.
Sherrington is well regarded from a technical standpoint thanks to his involvement in Intertops.com, specifically for writing the code that brought Intertops.com’s first-of-its-kind digital sportsbook offer to life. The site launched back in January 1996 and remains one of the leading offerings today.
Furthermore, to streamline the experience and give the Intertops brand additional heft, Sherrington incorporated the Microgaming online casino software and further introduced PayPal and Neteller as viable payment options to facilitate transactions and establish trust between the brand and users.
He also obtained a UK licence as early as 1998, becoming one of the pioneers of igaming to have done so. His personal projects led to the creation of Mahon Mania in Montreal Canada, which Sherrington founded back in 2003.
The company later went on to sign deals with some of the world’s best-known brands, such as Microgaming and Ladbrokes. Apart from his extensive knowledge of the igaming and sports betting industries, Sherrington is also closely involved with the ethereum P2P sportsbook Betr.Bet.
