Poll: What’s the ultimate crypto casino game?

When bitcoin started to branch away from being seen as just a speculative trading coin, one of its earliest use cases was gambling, as it still is to this day. Thousands of players tried their hand at a new breed of casino game that wasn't found at traditional sites. The likes of crash, dice and wheel of fortune-style games came to the fore, offering quick, simple wins, and these were often powered by provably fair blockchain technology.

Players had demanded something different. The frills of a luxurious online casino setting were no longer required. Complex slots, 3D table games and old-school video poker took a back seat in favour of games which put the player at the centre of a gambling community. Early iterations, such as Etheroll and Satoshi Dice, offered the big crypto wins players were after at a speed never before seen in the more regulated space, along with the added social dimensions they tended to offer.

These early dapps led the way for what was to come in today's more mature gambling environment. Bitcasino, BitStarz and the likes have evolved to resemble superior versions of the traditional online casino, while others such as WINk have stuck more to the dapp look and feel and also been successful for it.

In this week's poll, we want you to cast your mind back and let us know what you think the ultimate crypto casino game is. Which is most responsible for spawning the movement we have today?

Could it be dice? Likely the largest genre in terms of revenue, dice games, where you can choose your odds, set your stake and game strategy, maintains its position as a crypto favourite today.

Maybe your prefer the thrill of crash games? Probably the most tense of our three, crash, or moon, games, deliver suspense throughout as you hold your nerve to bag the biggest crypto multiplier you can. These were truly unique to the space when they first came about with almost no counterparts in the traditional casino sector.

Or do you want to spin the wheel of fortune? These wheel of fortune-inspired games have gained traction over the years to become a stalwart of the crypto gambling niche. They're recognisable, easy to understand and offer some mega bitcoin wins.

Perhaps you think we've missed something? Blackjack may not be crypto-specific but it's certainly got its fans. The chaos of plinko also has its own community, while minesweeper-style games are also becoming more prominent. Let us know in ‘Other' and make sure to comment what that game is.
