Polkastarter Gaming sponsors blockchain gaming awards

The first annual Web 3.0 gaming awards will honour the achievements of those in the crypto industry.

The blockchain industry has organised the ‘Gam3 Awards 2022’ in association with the integrated blockchain gaming ecosystem Polkastarter Gaming.

The awards are set to commence on December 15 and will celebrate the future of technology, blockchain gaming, Web 3.0 and the metaverse; a community that has surpassed over 70,000 gamers worldwide.

More than 200 projects will be up for selection for a choice of 16 awards judged by influential leaders and members of the crypto space. Participating judges boast an all-star cast of names.

Sponsored by Polkastarter, the event will include participants such as Polygon Studios, Immutable X, Riot Games, Zynga, Xbox Game Studios Electronic Arts and more.

“We are excited to partner with Polkastarter Gaming on this event. It is truly a step in the right direction for the industry and the first of its kind in Web3 gaming”, said the founder of Solana-based marketplace Fractal and content partner for the event Justin Kan.

Over the next few weeks, the judges will nominate a shortlist of projects for each award followed by a community vote to decide a top five list for each category.

Head of gaming at Polkastarter Omar Ghanem said: “We called it the “GAM3” awards, with a 3, to keep the focus on the actual games themselves, get rid of the Web3 jargon and negative connotation, while still paying tribute to the underlying Web3 tech that we believe will help shape the future of gaming”.
