Outspoken Cristiano Ronaldo to launch NFT collection

Manchester United striker Ronaldo has partnered with Binance for an exclusive drop.

Cristiano Ronaldo will have a good chance to evaluate how many dedicated supporters he has when he launches his NFT collection later this week.

The Manchester United striker hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the last couple of days after claiming the club have ‘betrayed him’ in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.

It is believed United want to sack the 37-year-old for defying club orders and partaking in the ego-fuelled interview, but it hasn’t stopped him announcing his latest offering.

Premier League Ronaldo took to Twitter to tell his 104 million followers that his NFT collection will be dropping exclusively on Binance.

He said: “This is your chance to join my Web3 community and own iconic moments from my career. Sign up now with code RONALDO to prepare and receive a surprise when the collection drops.”

Binance is the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider and will be hoping the lure of Ronaldo on a multi-year partnership will help it gain new revenue.

Binance co-founder and chief marketing officer He Yi said: “We are honoured to collaborate with Cristiano [Ronaldo] to help more people understand blockchain and showcase how we are building Web3 infrastructure for the sports and entertainment industry.”

The Ronaldo NFT collection will drop on November 18 and feature four rarity levels: Super Super Rare, Super Rare, Rare and Normal with each NFT highlighting a moment in his career.
