OKX signs Zafar as it focuses its efforts on South Asia and the Middle East

Global cryptocurrency exchange announces Zafar in its latest Web3 ambassador deal

OKX has announced Ali Zafar as its global Web3 ambassador

The cryptocurrency exchange has announced the partnership with the world-popular singer and actor as it looks to focus its efforts on South Asia and the Middle East.

OKC Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique, said:

“With a global following and an incredible and dedicated fanbase in the South Asia and Middle East regions, Ali can help OKX bring its innovative Web3 products to new audiences everywhere.”

The partnership comes as the exchange launched its global initiative ‘The System Needs a Rewrite’ which challenges the brand to freshen up the Web3 approach.

It has already launched new Web3 features including the OKX Wallet, DEX Aggregator, and NFT Marketplace.

OKX is no stranger to signing ambassador deals in a bid to gain exposure to larger audiences on a global scale. Earlier this year it enhanced its partnership with Manchester City

OKX and the Premier League champions originally teamed up in 2022, offering $CITY a fans token, before expanding into a training kit sponsorship deal a few months later.

The partnership also saw the launch of a fan Web3 experience called the OKX Collective alongside players Jack Grealish and Alex Greenwood which featured training, music, and NFT-based digital experiences.

Rafique said at the time: “Our Manchester City partnership is intended to help the world learn more about blockchain and its use cases, including what we can do with our partnership to go beyond fan tokens.”
