WallStreetBets launches crypto forum

WallStreetBets (WSB), the famous sub-Reddit that once took on GameStop short sellers, is has launched a brand-new discussion board focusing on cryptocurrencies.

The new forum is arriving as China announced a blanket ban on all crypto-related activities and Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave his qualified endorsement for the Shiba Inu token, sending another ‘meme token's’ value up.

Based on Wednesday’s release by the sub-Reddit, the new crypto discussion board will mirror the original WSB “format, community, and same things you love about WSB”.

The discussion board will focus on advice and tips on crypto trading. Similar to the way it spearheaded a rally for the GameStop stock, which resulted in short sellers losing significant amounts as people gathered together to bolster the ailing asset and completely upended market expectations. Some called the move sabotage while others welcomed it as a revolution.

The new board will try to disassociate itself from any speculative behavior and it has already listed several important rules about how consumers should act, including: “No Pump & Dump, Crypto Discussions, Schemes or Scams.”

WSB reacted pointedly to an article by Bloomberg in April, which read “WallStreetBets Bows to Crypto“. Following the success of the GameStop rally, WSB tried introducing crypto discussion in the sub-Reddit, but moderators were offended by the notion that they had “bowed to crypto”, and suspended all discussion, hence the new board.

If you are a fan of crypto, you can stop by WSB for advice or you can just jump straight to recreational websites such as Bitcasino.io, 1xBit and FortuneJack.
