Virtue Poker raises $5m

Ethereum-based poker platform Virtue Poker has completed a capital investment round, raising $5m.

The decentralized platform found numerous backers, including Pantera Capital, Consensys, DFG Group and Jez San, the founder of FunFair.

The additional funding will go to enhancing the mainnet launch which is scheduled for May 2021.

The successful funding round follows Virtue Poker being included on Coinlist’s Seed Winter 2021 Batch.

Virtue Poker's successes continue, as the company has been authorized to operate a poker product by the Malta Gaming Authority, largely considered one of the strictest and more important licensing authorities in Europe, specifically insofar remote gaming licenses are concerned.

Virtue Poker CEO Ryan Gittleson is proud of the success achieved so far. “After years of consultation, Virtue Poker can proudly say we are the only licensed blockchain-based poker application in the market.”

He added that blockchain is capable of providing modern and secure payment infrastructure and thus ensure consumer access globally. Virtue Poker was one of the first companies to arrive on the Ethereum network, but it has been biding its time and carefully awaiting a successful launch for years.

Virtue Poker will follow in blockchain best practices by attempting to bring transparency and trust to gaming. As we all wait for the launch, you can visit some of the best crypto casinos that are available right now, including 1xBit, Bitcasino and FortuneJack.
