Twitter CEO cites blockchain as potential antidote to social media censorship

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has explained why Twitter decided to ban the President while admitting, nevertheless, that this decision set a dangerous and possibly irreversible precedent.

The polemic against outgoing President Donald Trump reached an apex with social media platforms blocking his communication to the world and American businesses severing ties with his commercial ventures.

Conflicted Dorsey said that he didn't want his company to become a vessel for eroding a free and global internet, but he similarly didn't want it to endorse violence. Speaking about recent events, he cited Bitcoin's decentralized model as a possible solution.

Commenting on how Bitcoin could change the internet, he said that it's what the internet should become and over time, it will end up becoming just that.

“The reason I have so much passion for Bitcoin is largely because of the model it demonstrates: a foundational internet technology that is not controlled or influenced by any single individual or entity.”

Dorsey's explanation came on time for the latest announcement that the President has been impeached for a second time. The internet has indeed changed thanks to blockchain.

Even traditional entertainment venues such as online casinos have transformed themselves into blockchain-powered communities such as Bitcasino, FortuneJack, and BitStarz, all offering as much as 5 BTC in ready bonus money upon sign-up!
