Triton Poker has partnered with cryptocurrency exchange Kraken in a move that makes Kraken an official sponsor of a new YouTube series by Triton.
Kraken will be a backer for the Triton Million: A Helping Hand for Charity, a ten-part series that covers Triton's super-high roller tournament held in London in 2019.
The Triton Million event in 2019 was one of the biggest to date in the poker world, with the buy-in costing $1,426,000 and the winner at the time, Aaron Zang, leaving with $25m.
The company was hoping to reintroduce the event in London in 2020 but difficulties with travel and surging covid-19 cases prevented the event from happening.
Triton hopes that its partnership with Kraken will help boost brand awareness for both companies and their products.
Kraken is present in over 200 countries around the world making for a significant geographical footprint.
Triton has been actively looking to expand its footprint with several partnerships including with organizations such as ESPN, Fox Sports and Sky Sports, all of which can provide original programming.
Triton could one day consider introducing crypto payments to facilitate poker players further.
