Sportsbet.io introduces holograms to sportsbook

Leading cryptocurrency betting operator Sportsbet.io has become the first to adopt a hologram technology that it hopes would allow it to achieve better engagement with customer bases.

To this end, Sportsbet.io has collaborated with 2mee, a company focused on human interaction and technologies, which now enables the sports operator to replace its notifications systems with holograms.

Those holograms are based on real-world athletes and sports figures, such as Aussie cricketer Brett Lee, Brazilian World Cup winner Denilson and the “Romford Pelé” Ray Parlour.

As consumers browse Sportsbet.io’s platform, they will see the holograms pop on their screens and inform them about ongoing promotions, specific bet types or an event that is about to begin.

Sportsbet.io has hailed the technology as already being able to achieve a 51% clickthrough rate (CTR), which is much higher metric than the industry average.

At the same time, 2mee CEO James Riley has said that customers enjoy and report better engagement and retention of players and bettors while reducing overall costs of acquisition.

“In a short period, we have seen our clients significantly raise their engagement levels, lower their acquisition costs, while driving up loyalty and retention, with Sportsbet.io being a prime example of what you can achieve when you rebalance human connection with technology”, Riley added.

Sportsbet.io’s head of sportsbook Joe McCallum has welcomed the opportunity to allow its brand ambassadors “come to life” thanks to the hologram technology that is now built directly into the company’s core CRM. As a result, McCallum expects to see better results over the coming months.

The most likely scenario from here on in is for other companies such as Cloudbet and 1xBit to reach out to 2mee and seek to introduce what could very well be a game changer for retaining customers in crypto sportsbooks.

Meanwhile, Sportsbet.io has been active in sports, teaming up with São Paulo FC, and donating 2 BTC to Southampton FC.
