Rivalry.gg ups game with crypto payments

Starting today, the Isle of Man licensed website will begin supporting bitcoin as one of its available payment methods. With esports making a heady rise to the top of bookmakers priorities, and supporting betting agencies in the COVID-19 slump, Rivalry.gg is banking on a new and exciting way to carry out payments.

Esports fans are exceptionally tech savvy, so much so that they wouldn't baulk at the idea of embracing yet another payment method that promises speedier results. Rivalry.gg has shaped itself as a trusted endemic esports bookmaker, meaning the company only covers the esports vertical.

Rivalry.gg is more, though. The company has a dedicated academy and runs some of the most attractive odds out there. Esports-associated activities, such as streaming, have also been in an upswing. Multiple companies have started offering a more advanced esports product as well.

Earlier this year, FortuneJack introduced a dedicated esports market, and Cloudbet upped the ante of its own esports markets by adding live esports as part of its website upgrade.

To make the integration happen, Rivalry.gg has teamed up with cryptocurrency exchange and payment facilitator CoinCorner. Here is what Rivalry CEO Steven Salz had to say on the occasion:

“Our integration with CoinCorner has allowed us to offer Bitcoin as a payment option to our players and further simplify the payment experience. It’s partnerships like these that help us evolve the betting experience for a new cohort of bettors that think and behave differently.”

Rivalry is one of the most prominent esports betting sportsbooks out there, shaping itself as a lodestar for the esports betting community. Embracing blockchain payment methods is a clever way forward.
