Midnight Society launches Founder’s Access NFTs

Midnight Society is releasing 10,000 Founder’s Access NFTs for early community members.

Last December, Youtuber and Call of Duty streamer Guy Beahm aka Dr DisRespect launched the game development studio.

Fast forward to now and a blog post from Robert Bowling, former community manager of Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward and co-founder of Midnight Society, announced his aims to invite his “Day Zero Community” to become paid up, early access members.

The announcement followed a tweet from Dr DisRespect concerning his indefinite ban from the live streaming platform Twitch, he said he is “moving on” from it.

His gaming NFTs will cost $50 and will be available on the Polygon blockchain. There won’t be any pay-to-win perks for Founders Passes on the Midnight Society website. However, holders will receive early access to game builds, studio events access, voting rights on game features and a profile picture to use on Midnight Society games.

Bowling sees NFTs as a valuable part of Midnight’s gaming system. Gamers on Twitter have already given Dr DisRespect their opinion of his NFTs.

Although the project marketing steers clear away from referring to  Founders Passes as NFTs, the Midnight Society website refers to access passes as environment-friendly NFT technology.

Any Gaming brand that announces NFTs will always get backlash from gamers, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2, Ubisoft and Worms were presented with responses not dissimilar to that of Dr DisRespect.
