Microsoft remains neutral on Bitcoin

Microsoft president Brad Smith has articulated “neutral” feelings about the Bitcoin saga and said there have been “no new conversations” about the cryptocurrency, despite the recent rush of tech businesses investing.

Smith told CNN's Julia Chatterley that Microsoft could still change how it feels about Bitcoin, but there was no immediate decision to act. “I haven’t heard any new conversation about Bitcoin. But let me just say, if we change our investment policy on Bitcoin, Julia, you will be the first or at least the second to know”, he said.

With the currency’s price soaring to $51,000 on February 17, 2021, and market capitalization hitting a notable $950bn at time of reporting, Microsoft might miss out on something there.

Yet, as Smith said if the tech giant decides to move in the space, it certainly would make it known.

Speaking of early movers, there have been quite a few successful adoptions of Bitcoin. MasterCard and Apple Pay, PayPal and Tesla have all moved in on cryptocurrencies. Big investors are also circling crypto opportunities and poised to jump in.

Morgan Stanley's $150bn investment vessel is one of those. If you are not in crypto for investment purposes, then you may consider enjoying the gaming side of the industry. We welcome you to scoop massive 5-7 BTC bonuses at mBitCasino, FortuneJack and 1xBit.
