Financier Jason Ader will pitch his ideas for a futuristic New York casino to the state’s gaming commission this Friday.
The idea behind “Mirai”, a casino resort whose name translates as “future” in Japanese, is to have an all-encompassing venue that will be fit for gambling and various other entertainment purposes.
Ader said the casino will not just be about gambling. He also plans to build the world’s biggest crypto trading floor and add facilities that can accommodate events from esports to the New York Fashion Week.
Ader, who is an ex-Las Vegas Sands board member, is well versed in the industry and his idea to build a casino of a new generation is as bold as it’s feasible, the executive argued.
He has even teamed up with Japanese gambling giant Universal Entertainment, which is willing to finance the operation should the New York State Gaming Commission sign off on it.
On top of that (metaphorically and literally), Ader wants to build a launch pad for flying cars that will take off from the roof of the casino resort.
Talking about the idea, Ader said: “The goal is to have a differentiated but comprehensive approach to entertainment that goes beyond casino gaming with some pretty cool elements.”
It is unclear from existing reporting to what extinct Ader will promote crypto as part of the gambling experience, but the technology will be present throughout the would-be casino resort.
Ader is looking to secure a license from the remaining ones that were offered up as per a 2013 ballot. The remaining three are still unclaimed, but Ader wants to change that.
