A prototype of Jack Dorsey-backed Bitcoin (BTC) hardware wallet developed by his company, Block, is already available and some media outlets have seen an early preview.
According to Dorsey, the Block’s hardware wallet will enable customers to safely store and use BTC currency without having a thing to worry about.
This will include fingerprint readers as well as USB-C charging ports. More information will be forthcoming in a blog post that Block will release this month.
There will be information about the recovery processes that will be available in case that consumers lose access to their wallet, or their phones.
Dorsey and Block are confident that interlinking the wallet and smartphones will further add to the safety of the solution.
The actual hardware wallet has a “rocky” look and is expected to strike home with its consumer base, the company assures.
The hardware components of the wallet will be controlled through a dedicated solution and Block are confident that this would ensure but safety as well as reliability of the use.
Cold storage wallets have been a preferred option for storing value in cryptocurrency denominations by most of the savvier crypto owners.
Now that Block is making this a reality, and the fact that the rate of crypto adoption is increasingly rapidly, there should be no shortage of enthusiasts who are looking to purchase a user-friendly and secure crypto wallet.
