Dak Prescott named Blockchain.com ambassador

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has agreed a deal to become Blockchain.com’s first ever brand ambassador.

The National Football League (NFL) superstar has agreed a multi-year partnership with the company as it looks to make the most of his personal brand and expose cryptocurrency to a wider audience.

Prescott, who is currently on the road to recovery following a serious injury, will make TV, radio and social media appearances as Blockchain.com bids to educate potential adopters.

This will include creating educational content covering Blockchain.com Wallets and other elements to share with his 1.4 million Twitter followers and 2.2 million Instagram followers.

Blockchain.com already boasts an existing relationship with the Dallas Cowboys having agreed a partnership with the franchise when the NFL opened the door to crypto deals.

NFL chief executive officer Peter Smith said: “What’s interesting to me about the NFL is that crypto hasn’t really been a part of it at all yet. It’s something we want to be first in.”

Prescott has spent seven seasons playing at the highest level and this is the latest in a number of personal deals which also includes Jordan, Beats by Dre and Campbell Soup.

However, this latest agreement will raise some eyebrows within the industry having witnessed Blockchain.com lay off 25% of its staff following a crypto crash in July.
