Crypto.com has inked a partnership with the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Philadelphia 76ers, as the crypto exchange will now be the team's official jersey patch partner.
All variants of the team's jerseys will feature the crypto exchange's logo on their left shoulder as Crypto.com continues to gather momentum in the sports and esports world.
The partnership follows a previously-signed agreement between Crypto.com and esports powerhouse Fnatic which marked a first entry for the firm into the competitive video gaming vertical.
Similar to that partnership, the tie-up with the 76ers will seek to position Crypto.com's IP in the public eye and boost awareness for the crypto exchange and its products.
The exchange's signage will be available at the Wells Fargo Center arena in Philadelphia and through various television broadcasts, social media and marketing campaigns.
Crypto.com will assist Philadelphia with launching its first NFT. While no financial information or the length of the deal was disclosed, the 76ers feel confident that this partnership will favor their forays in the world of crypto.
Crypto.com has been entering into multiple partnerships with numerous sports franchises, including the UFC and Formula 1, as well as National Hockey League teams and other soccer teams.
In many ways, Crypto.com is vying for bigger presence with rival FTX which signed a landmark naming rights deal with esports organization Team SoloMid and has active partnerships with the Major League Baseball, the Miami Heat, another NBA team, and NFL star quarterback Tom Brady.
