Coinbase sponsors BLAST Premier

Cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase is the latest sponsor for the BLAST Premier, an esports league and host of numerous competitive events across Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Dota 2.

The crypto exchange is one of the latest crypto companies to endorse esports and serve as a sponsor for the upcoming Spring Season.

In Coinbase's own words, it wants to see more cryptocurrency in the esports space, something that many crypto companies, such as Cloudbet and Sportsbet.io have already actively sought to introduce.

Coinbase branding and signage will appear during the official broadcasts as the events head into the Spring Showdown scheduled for April 13 through to April 18, and then the Spring Finals scheduled for June 15 through June 20.

Coinbase will focus on The Economy Play broadcast segment with the company's logo present in the stream as well as across the event's maps, social media, and more.

The company is just one of the latest to endorse esports with other crypto companies, such as Sikenso Analytics and CS.Money

BLAST Premier head of brand partnerships Oliver Clarke said: “Esports and cryptocurrency both share a strong relationship with technology and innovation. BLAST Premier is enjoyed on a global scale with an audience that is known to be tech-savvy.”

BLAST Premier will be looking forward to see how fans respond to the new sponsor and whether this translates into better awareness for the company.
