The details behind the raffle are simple. There are 20 Bitcoin, 200 Ethereum, and 2 million Dogecoin up for grabs for anyone who spends more than $5 in the restaurant.

The giveaway is happening with its partner, Robinhood, who added crypto-assets to its platform just three years ago. Anyone who wins the competition will need to open an account on Robinhood to collect their prize.

Burger King has likely started this marketing strategy to attract new and younger customers. Studies have shown that the younger generation is incredibly interested in digital currencies over traditional stocks.

College students will likely find this giveaway to be interesting and will help the restaurant which has struggled in the past few years.

One of the other larger companies that have joined this cryptocurrency movement includes Mastercard, which is integrating Bitcoin and Ethereum. Mastercard will allow its customers to use bonus points to acquire digital currencies.

The Burger King promotion starts on 21 November. Customers who spend over $5 will get a code on their receipt. This code can be used in the Burger King app to register for the raffle. The contest will focus mostly on Dogecoin; with many users winning a few prizes, but some lucky individuals will receive a full Bitcoin or Ethereum.

This promotion might help Robinhood who has struggled in recent weeks, as many have avoided using the exchange to purchase crypto assets. The company was well below its goals of how many crypto users it should have, thus, the stock price tumbled.
