Bitcasino.io has become an official crypto sponsor for North American esports organization Evil Geniuses (EG).
As part of the partnership, Bitcasino.io's logo will appear on EG's team jerseys during the Blast Premier Fall Series.
This is a first partnership in crypto space for the Yolo Group crypto casino, which will be looking to expand its footprint with tech-savvy esports audiences.
Bitcasino and EG will work on a series of dedicated campaigns focusing on the Dota 2 and Counter-Strike communities where the team is well-represented.
Professional players from the esports organization will be invited to feature in the content series and the casino has already teamed up with Tarik Celik, an EG CS:GO professional and content creator, building a new map for the game that is now available for download on Steam.
EG is represented in a number of esports franchises, including Call of Duty and Ultimate Smash Bros.
Commenting on this partnership, EG head of corporate partnerships Brian Millman said: “Evil Geniuses has always been a trailblazer within esports and bringing on a pioneer in their industry like Bitcasino, EG continues our commitment to engage our fans in new and innovative ways.”
Esports and crypto partnerships are a new breed that is quickly gaining momentum. Fnatic has also entered into a $15m deal with Crypto.com.
Bybit, another exchange, has successfully signed partnerships with Virtus.pro and Astralis and FTX landed a landmark naming rights deal with Team SoloMid, a premier esports organization.
