BetProtocol has been hyping up the its Esports 1.0 launch over the last few weeks, with a webinar on the 22nd July set to be a huge opportunity for it to sell the product to potential partners.
And it would appear that interest is there in spades. The event has now sold out of its 1,000 tickets after being live for under 48 hours. The lucky few who have bought tickets to the show, labelled “Launch a Betting Business in The Booming Esports Market”, will be in with a shot of winning $1,000, as well as each receiving 1,000 of the company's $BEPRO tokens.
We recently caught up with Justin Wu, BetProtocol's COO and co-founder, to talk about what they have to offer in the esports domain. It's fair to say that the project is an ambitious one, with Wu claiming:
“We are positioning ourselves to be the go-to solution for entrepreneurs who want to launch their own Esports betting app.”
In our exclusive Q&A, Wu went on to talk about how their initial esports offering will service major games such as CS:GO and LoL, but would then expand quickly into the likes of Dota 2 and Starcraft II.
With “esports betting…growing at almost 40% CAGR” according to BetProtocol's COO, then they're certainly onto something if the product does as they claim.
