New app offers BTC transfers via Twitter

Digital payments app Bottlepay has launched a solution enabling crypto enthusiasts to transfer Bitcoin by Tweet.

The app means you can not just tweet about Bitcoin but actually send Bitcoin via social media. The blockchain has been busy these past few months with transactions slowing down due to overwhelming demand and this aims to help.

To begin a transaction, all you need to do is use this sample template and make adjustments where appropriate so that you are sending the right amount: “@bottlepay send 1,000 sats to @twitteruser.”

For those unfamiliar, sats in the template stands for Satoshi, the creator of Bitcoin, and the lingo used to denote smaller pieces of BTC. You can use the Twitter app directly to transfer Bitcoin from one user to another just as simply as you would send a tweet.

Bottlepay seems to be onto a good thing. Self-styled as a global payment disruptor, the platform managed to add $15m in seed funding this past February and is now being implemented with social media platforms such as Reddit and Discord.

The beta version alone gathered some 20,000 users, which is a clear indication of the potency of such intuitive payment solutions. Bottlepay dodges the huge transaction fees associated with Bitcoin by using the Lightning Network, which is a second-layer solution for optimal results.

Boosting transaction speeds could make the gaming experience more fun as well. Players at Bitcasino, 1xBit and FortuneJack definitely appreciate a quick payment method, and being able to Tweet a Bitcoin to a fellow player is definitely fun.

You can enjoy safe, and enjoyable gameplay at Bitcasino, 1xBit or FortuneJack.
