Hex Trust adds Mark Cheng to board

The crypto custodian appointed Mark Cheng for his blockchain gaming expertise.

Crypto digital asset custodian Hex Trust has appointed blockchain gaming specialist Mark Cheng to its board of directors.

Cheng will provide experience, knowledge and his network in digital assets. His appointment will also help the board understand investments and gamefi and the common lines between gaming and finance.

Before joining Hex Trust, Cheng worked at venture capital firms and spent eight years as a partner and chief operating officer at Mind Fund, a firm supporting early-stage start-ups.

Cheng was also a senior advisor at the Hong Kong-based gaming software and venture capital company Animoca Brands.

Alongside working for Animoca, Cheng was a founding partner at the blockchain game-focused venture capital firm GameFi Ventures.

“I’ve followed Hex Trust’s impressive progress and been an investor in the company for several years now, so it’s a pleasure to officially join the board of directors to support the company during its next phase of growth”, he said, commenting on his appointment.

“I see tremendous opportunities for Hex Trust to integrate with gamefi, which will open up opportunities for the sector to access fully licensed digital asset custody with connectivity to financial services.”
