Georgian industry well placed to benefit from blockchain

For its size, Georgia has an exceptionally well-developed gambling industry. Things are going so smoothly, in fact, that the industry generated $50m in tax revenue, which is decent for the size of the country.

The country has some clear benefits when it comes to gambling, and that is specifically the way it regulates the industry.

All bookmakers and online gambling is fully legal, meaning that you do not have anything to worry about when you try to place a bet in Georgia.

Yet, one area where the industry could build its gambling presence is blockchain and cryptocurrency. With some of the best casinos out there offering Bitcoin today, it's a clear advantage to seek out more involvement with this sector.

In fact, it's argued that BTC payments will continue climbing throughout 2021, which should, in turn, lead to a greater windfall for the Georgian economy. A switch to online gambling has been part of the reason why revenue kept climbing, and now adding the benefit of Bitcoin could result in even better economic results.

Already, there are casinos that are quite happy to accept players from Georgia and let them play with BTC. Some casinos you may be interested in yourself if you are in the country include BitCasino, FortuneJack and BitStarz to name a few.

Look at how online gambling impacted revenue in Georgia, it's worth noting that total turnover has soared by 91% since the online gambling industry was officially legalized in 2015.
