GameStop NFT marketplace live on ImmutableX

Formed initially in February, the GameStop marketplace announced its release on the layer 2 blockchain platform.

Electronics retail company GameStop’s NFT marketplace is now live on the blockchain platform ImmutableX.

The launch will grant marketplace users access to NFT gaming assets and Web 3.0 games built on the trading protocol.

Such games include Guild of Guardians and Illuvium and Gods Unchained.

Incorporated in the GameStop NFT marketplace is its layer 2 scaling product which facilitates “100% gas-free and carbon-neutral minting and trading”, according to its developers.

Such a solution hopes to bring further attraction to the metaverse space, especially concerning Web 3.0 gaming.

“ImmutableX hopes to create a gaming landscape that no longer thinks about blockchain gaming in terms of wallets, bridges, chains and rollups but instead, true digital ownership and fun sit at the heart of the gameplay experience”, said vice president of strategic partnerships Jonathan Reedy.

Both platforms have been working together since February, and, as well as integrating ImmutablieX into the GameStop NFT marketplace’s wallet to allow for seamless digital asset management, the partnership has been building on several initiatives, one being a $100m grant launch for Web 3.0 builders and creators.
