FX1 scores victory in Killer Whales TV show

The Australian sports engagement start-up hinted it will expand into sports betting

Australian startup FX1 has emerged as the champion in the realm of cryptocurrency entertainment, triumphing in the competitive TV show called Killer Whales.

In the show, budding entrepreneurs present their innovative ideas to a panel of experienced judges, and FX1's founders, Damien Dau and Trent Allan, seized the spotlight with their compelling pitch.

Their victory not only secured them the title of entertainment category winner but also garnered them valuable mentorship from one of the judges, Ran Neuner. This mentorship offer has further solidified FX1's position in the industry.

The Killer Whales TV show boasts a wide viewership, expected to reach 550 million households across 55 countries and in 5 languages. It can be accessed on various streaming platforms, including Apple and Android TV.

Back in December, FX1 Sports shared an update highlighting a groundbreaking achievement in combat sports. Utilizing data and advanced AI technology, the company’s team pioneered a method to identify significant strikes in real-time during combat sports events, a feat believed to be a world first.

These significant strikes are defined as any Distance Strike or Clinch/Ground Strikes deemed “Power Strikes” by official scorers. They showcased this innovation during the Mendes v Alvarez bout, demonstrating the tracking of fighters and the referee, as well as providing real-time data on round start and finish, total punches, landed and missed punches, speed, and force of each punch.

The FX1 team expressed their anticipation for the official release of this product to the public in early 2024.

FX1's win has caught many people's eyes as they aim to change sports and also start offering sports betting.

The excitement surrounding FX1's endeavors is palpable on their official website and community platforms, where FX1 fans discuss the innovative fusion of AI, crypto, and sports entertainment that FX1 represents. Their ERC-20 crypto token, $FXI, has seen increased market activity following their appearance on Killer Whales.

FX1, initially founded as ActivePlace, began its journey in 2019 with a vision to simplify participation in fitness events. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic led to a strategic pivot towards the spectator sports market.

Recognizing challenges in sports consumption, FX1 transitioned its focus, rebranding as FX1 (Fan Experience #1), and positioning itself as a leader in sports engagement.
