FUNToken’s CEO discusses future plans in Samurai Starter AMA

Following the recent partnership agreement between FUNToken, one of the most popular gamefi tokens, and Samurai Starter, a crypto crowdfunding platform, Samurai Starter hosted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with FUNToken's CEO David Dobrovitsky, which took place on May 8.

In the extensive conversation, Dobrovitsky shed light on FUNToken’s history, current projects, and plans for the future. Dobrovitsky, who joined FUNToken in February, also talked about his previous experience in web3, his earlier roles and personal projects.

Dobrovitsky started off by noting that FUNToken was one of the first gambling tokens on Ethereum. It is currently the only gambling token listed on Binance. However, the company is now expanding into defi and gamefi as well.

The main goal of the pivot is to expand FUNToken’s user base and community. The FUNToken team is developing a new platform that is going to merge web3 elements, for example, staking and game listings, with traditional web2 revenue streams

One of the key aspects of a successful expansion for FUNToken are partnerships with other established web3 entities. Dobrovitsky pointed to the project's recent collaborations with Samurai Starter and RhinoX as an example. These partnerships help FUNToken on its growth path while also enhancing community engagement.

To illustrate, as a result of the collaboration with RhinoX a new NFT project will be launched. This aligns with FUNToken’s goal to gamify its platform and introduce NFT capabilities.

Dobrovitsky further touched upon the introduction of DeFi functionalities.  He noted that his plans include utilizing staking both as a way to engage the community and give FUNToken holders voting rights. This will be made possible via a future DAO. FUNToken users can also expect discounts.

Overall, FUNToken is striving to create a user-friendly web2.5 platform that offers web3 features and practical revenue-generating features.

The topic of security and transparency in transactions was also part of the conversation. Dobrovitsky underlined the importance of security protocols. He mentioned employing doxxed developers and implementing management checks that help discover the platform’s vulnerabilities.

Dobrovitsky shared his vision for the future of gamefi. He sees high-quality gameplay and graphics being prioritized instead of speculative tokenomics. Dobrovitsky believes that to achieve sustainability gaming tokens should try to provide broader defi utilities and reward systems such as airdrops rather than restricting themselves to direct gameplay.

At the end of the session FUNToken CEOs also answered some questions from the audience regarding FUNToken’s market position, upcoming NFT releases and challenges coming from the uncertain regulatory landscape withing web3.
