Foal’s Day kickoff sets new heights for Photo Finish Season 13

Season 12 saw significant track earnings exceeding $700,000

Season 13 of Photo Finish LIVE has commenced with the usual fervor and excitement, marked by the traditional Foal’s Day celebration, where a fresh batch of virtual horses joins the game’s universe. This season promises to be another thrilling journey for the Photo Finish LIVE community.

However, amidst the excitement, the Photo Finish community mourns the loss of one of its esteemed members, SlyRaven, also known as Amber, who succumbed to ALS after a battle with the viscous illness.

Third Time Games even initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support her family during this challenging time, alongside organizing a horse auction with proceeds directed to Amber's family.

Foal’s Day kicked off with the customary tailgate, hosted by Ryan Yousefi and Bryce Shuck of Third Time Games. They discussed plans for the day and the upcoming Season 13 breeding window with community members Commish and DoughBoy.

One of the highlights of Season 11’s Foal’s Day, Exoticus, the first-ever SS horse, is set to make its racing debut in Season 13. Owned by Blue Elder Racing, Exoticus is expected to excel as a sprinter, potentially surpassing its older brother, Blue Norther.

In a unique event, Third Time Games Middle East & South East Asia business development lead Ryan Duguid and community member OEB Racing & Breeding organized the inaugural Singapore Racing Club meet-up, fostering deeper engagement within the community.

The event laid the groundwork for many new stable owners. The atmosphere was distinctive as attendees showed greater interest in the business aspects of horse racing than in the visuals.

Season 12 saw significant track earnings, surpassing $700,000, reflecting the growing success of Photo Finish LIVE. This brings total track ownership payments to over $3.2 million, indicating sustained growth and interest in the platform.

During Season 12, Photo Finish LIVE also achieved the highest levels of completed races and average fill rates across all race categories.

Richie Choi, Third Time Games product director, provided insights into the performance of Season 12 and outlined plans for Season 13 and beyond. New race types and adjustments aim to cater to the diverse horse population and enhance competitiveness on the tracks.

In Season 13, additional races have been introduced for 6-8-year-old horses that may not be as competitive anymore. The objective is to maintain a higher number of horses participating in races, enabling them to achieve success by winning $DERBY and earning $CROWN.

Looking ahead, Photo Finish LIVE enthusiasts can anticipate more horses, races, optimizations, and overall enjoyment in future seasons.
