FanCraze announces partnership with County Cricket Clubs

Twelve counties from England and Wales have signed a deal with the NFT maker.

English and Welsh County Cricket Clubs are entering the digital world after agreeing a partnership with NFT platform FanCraze.

Twelve counties have agreed digital collectible agreements with Mumbai-based FanCraze which will see the first-class counties first move into the NFT space.

Clubs to get involved include Lancashire, Middlesex, Somerset, Glamorgan, Sussex, Derbyshire, Durham, Gloucestershire, Kent, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire.

The partnership means supporters of those County Cricket Clubs will have the opportunity to purchase digital collectibles in the form of moments and player cards, trade their purchases, play strategy games within the platform, and win prizes in the form of real-life experiences.

The deal will also include stadium branding at matches involving the clubs and hospitality and ticketing rights which will be used as part of rewards and prizes for users on its platform.

FanCraze CEO Anshum Bhambri said: “We are excited to build a new paradigm of engagement between these storied institutions and their fans by leveraging digital assets, gamification, and money-can’t-buy experiences.”

FanCraze’s growing portfolio of partnerships includes International Cricket Council (ICC), Cricket West Indies and the Indian Premier League’s Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants.

It also boasts a number of individual cricketers including legendary batsman Virat Kohli.
