Bitcoin sports betting exchange has announced a delay to its launch as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and the cancellation of many major sports events.

Despite the setback, the company is continuing on its quest to become the Betfair-equivalent of the cryptocurrency world, albeit with a delayed launch.

Informing the media and followers in its first official announcement, informed the community that the platform will launch once the sports calendar is back to near-normal levels, whenever that may be.

In the meantime, plans on continuing its development. The company will work on polishing the exchange product and improving its feature set. Furthermore, it will be fine-tuning its Market Maker API in terms of both functionality and performance.

The delay – while not pleasant – will give the company time to finalise its licensing needs and pull through the various certification processes. The company will also work on growing its partnerships and distributions networks.
