Eventus International sets out Africa igaming agenda

Four Africa-focused igaming events are lined up across this year, in Morocco, South Africa, Uganda and Nigeria.

Eventus International will host four premier events curated for the African igaming market this spring and summer.

The inaugural Gaming Expo Francophone Africa (GEFA) is lined up to take place next week in Casablanca, Morocco between 8 and 9 March 2023.

Taking place at the Casablanca Marriott Hotel, GEFA will be an opportunity to investigate specific strategies for market development in Francophone Africa’s gaming sector.

Adresso SE international consultant Victor Garcia Beltran said: “Really looking forward to sharing my international knowledge with other experts in the field. GEFA is a must-attend event in an important region that offers plenty of opportunities.”

Later this month, Africa Betting & iGaming Africa Summit will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, between 30 and 31 March 2023

The ninth annual BiG Africa Summit will take place at the grand Emperors Palace and include opportunities to strengthen networks, finalise business deals and connect with a c-level audience.

It will feature local and international speakers from leading authorities, operators and investors sharing their knowledge of igaming in Africa.

Whitesman Lurie Attorneys partner Wayne Lurie said: “Events such as BiG Africa are critical to us reaching an era of relevant and progressive regulation of an ever-expanding and increasingly complex gaming environment both in South Africa and in our broader continent. I am excited to be participating in this year’s conference.”

Later in the summer, Eventus International will turn its attention to sports betting, with Sports Betting East Africa+, between 13 and 14 July 2023, in Kampala, Uganda, and Sports Betting West Africa+, between 23 and 25 August, in Lagos, Nigeria.

With a booming middle class, increasing access to the internet and mobile devices, and a vibrant sports culture, Africa promises rapid, yet sustainable, growth.

Over the past decade, Eventus International has been at the forefront of this emerging market, offering exclusive events for c-level executives to share insights and drive igaming innovations.
