EFootball retains interest throughout Euro 2020

Analysis of sports betting activity during Euro 2020 has revealed that interest in digital competitions continued throughout the event.

According to ESportsBattle, an esports betting site that runs virtual soccer tournaments, Euro 2020 did not slow down virtual sports betting on football, but it complemented it.

According to the website's analysis, sports fans were still tuning in between 6am and 12pm UTC to place a bet right before watching Euro 2020, meaning that they valued both esports as well as physical events.

ESportsBattle highlighted some of the reasons why eFootball continued to thrive during the period, pointing out that esports has no seasons and it draws strong interest at any point throughout the year.

However, the platform added that there has been a surge in interest in eFootball correlating with the arrival of Euro 2020, driving a higher betting activity on both real and esports football.

EsportsBattle believes that it's only a matter of time before traditional sports accumulate more views thanks to the beneficial effect that esports plays as well.

Esports betting is becoming increasingly popular, with websites such as Cloudbet, FortuneJack and Sportsbet.io offering some of the best odds on not just eFootball, but many other events.
