DraftKings hoping to get a tune out of Aoki

World renowned DJ Steve Aoki has been confirmed as a brand ambassador for fantasy sports and sports betting operator DraftKings.

With more than 16 milllion monthly listeners on Spotify, Aoki is a global talent and is tasked with promoting DraftKings’ NFT marketplace with a focus on its Reignmaker franchise.

The Reignmaker series sees players buy and trade NFTs to be used in real-money fantasy sports games. The Aoki 2022 All-Star Access Pass, his first drop, is to be released this month.

DraftKings co-founder Matt Kalish said: “Steve Aoki is globally recognised for his contributions to the music industry and more recently, for his involvement with digital collectibles. I am excited to welcome him to the DraftKings family.

“Having him on board will provide us with a refreshing perspective for future, community-driven projects, and I look forward to bringing new experiences to our customers and to Steve’s fans.”

Aoki added: “I am excited to be working with DraftKings to build out the next generation of fantasy sports. Through Reignmakers Football, DraftKings customers can have ownership of their rosters in an innovative way that Web3 can provide.”

DraftKings launched just over a year ago with celebrity products including legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, golf icon Tiger Woods and tennis ace Naomi Osaka.
