Devcon postponed for second time

If you have been looking forward Devcon, the largest developer conference for Ethereum enthusiasts, the Ethereum Foundation may have some bad news for you after all.

The uncertainty of the pandemic has forced the organization to once again reconsider the release date and the event is now on hold.

The August outlook for the event doesn't look too certain it seems, as the Foundation cannot be sure if travel restrictions will be lifted by then.

In a blog post, the Ethereum Foundation shares its skepticism of how quickly the world and travel is going to recover: “We want to make sure we do this responsibly and that as many people as possible are able to make the trip from all around the world, which seems unlikely by early August.”

While the main event may not be taking place, the Foundation expects to see and host other events during the summer, even if some may be hosted online. Though the Ethereum France EthCC event, should be taking place in person.

The Foundation will be providing more information as it becomes available. The last Devcon conference took place in Osaka in 2019 and attracted thousands of developers. Meanwhile, Ethereum continues to be one of the leading blockchain.

It has attracted a solid interest from consumers and as it turns out, there are better times of the day to trade with Ethereum! Meanwhile, the currency – ETH – is also used at crypto casinos, such as Bitcasino, 1xBit, and FortuneJack.
